Manitoba Public Insurance Update - mail service has resumed

Manitoba Public Insurance Update

Regular mail service has resumed

Manitoba Public Insurance is continuing to take steps to ensure our customer service is maintained in the anticipation of a possible postal disruption.

With the possibility of a disruption in postal service earlier this month, Manitoba Public Insurance implemented a contingency plan which included holding all outgoing mail in order to ensure no critical documents went missing in the event of a strike or lockout. As positive negotiations continue between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, we are reinstating mail service according to the following schedule:

•         Cheques that have been held at Service Centres will continue to be held for pick up until
July 29, after which any unclaimed cheques will be mailed directly to customers.
•         Manitoba Identification Cards and driver licences, including Enhanced Driver Licences and Enhanced Identification Cards will continue to be held at Service Centres until July 29, after which they will be mailed directly to customers.
